Here, the two cameras are practically identical, except that the Sony a9 II has a longer recording limit of 780 minutes. If you don’t need that feature (and many photographers won’t), the Sony a7 III does just as good of a job for less than half the price! Other areas, of course, do favor the Sony a9 II pretty strongly.

Sensor and processor. Nikon Z6 vs Sony A7 III: Front view (Image credit: Nikon/Sony) • Nikon Z6: 24.5 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor (35.9x23.9mm) and Expeed 6 processor. • Sony A7 III: 24.2 megapixel full frame Exmor R CMOS sensor (35.6x23.8mm) and Bionz X processor. The A7 mark II has a larger viewfinder than the EOS RP (0.5-in vs 0.39-in) but the magnification factor is very similar (0.71x on the Sony and 0.7x on the Canon). The resolution is the same (2.36M dots) and so is the 22mm eye point which is decent for someone wearing glasses. The refresh rate of the live view is around 60Hz for both cameras. The a7r ii is likely to be the best bang for your buck, at maybe $1,200-1,500US for new, body only. The a7r iii prices are typically twice as much or maybe more, but they do not appear to be twice the camera. Not even close. Prices of a7 iii have fallen a bit to just under $2,000US, with a lens.

The original A7 series of cameras from Sony proved the concept that it was possible to put high quality, full frame sensors into a feature-rich camera body with a smaller footprint. Now in 2016 the second series of A7 cameras, the A7II, A7RII, and A7SII are all available and ready for action.

Sony’s own newer A7’s like the A7III and A7IV are tremendous cameras that are better in almost any way besides size. But that doesn’t mean this isn’t a good camera anymore. It isn’t perfect, but with current second-hand prices (some go for less than 500 euros – for a full frame camera that is crazy) the Sony A7 still is and will be

Let’s dig in. This is not a full review of all the features on the X-T4 vs the A7III, but rather my real world experience in how I use the camera for my photo and filming needs. 1. The Fujifilm X-T4 Fully-Articulating Tilt Screen Is Indispensable. I’d say that that 90% of time, I have the screen in the closed position.

Has phase-detection autofocus for videos. Fujifilm X-T4. Sony Alpha a7 III. A phase-detection autofocus system is faster than a contrast detection autofocus system. Even when recording scenes with a lot of fast movements, the videos are sharp and clear. has continuous autofocus when recording movies.
Both 24MP, similar sensor size, ISO 100-51,200, 5-axis image stabilization, weather sealed, and 4k recording. Only differences in the specs seem to be that the A7iii has better battery (610 shots vs 410) and better autofocus (693 vs 273), while the Z6ii has a better EVF, LCD, and a top-plate settings display. The Z6ii is currently $200 more.
The Sony α7 IV replaces the Sony α7 III. It has a new, higher-resolution 33-megapixel sensor and improved autofocus system. Physically, the α7 IV is a little bigger and includes two UHS-II SD card slots, one of which has an integrated CFexpress Type A slot and has a fully articulated touchscreen and improved menu system. The α7 III, on the other hand, has two SD card slots, but only one of
The Nikon Z6 and Sony a7 III are two cameras with much in common including 24MP full-frame sensors. If you're looking to sink your teeth into the world of full-frame mirrorless, these two represent the most-affordable current models on the market, with body-only MSRPs of around $2000. But the Z6 is a first-generation product for Nikon, while

A7iii - launched back in 2018 but A FULL FRAME! I am getting a7iii for almost the price of a6600. Is it worth getting a comparatively older full frame for the price of the best and powerful crop sensor model? Would love to hear from the Sony community. Apologies if I have violated any rules, feel free to delete the post if you feel like. ShPtUmS.
